In typical German The Hunger Games and Catching Fire cover fashion, we have been given a sneak peek of the German Mockingjay cover at the official website.

The title of the book is obviously in the native language and different than Mockingjay.

It has yet to be fully revealed, as the site’s doing an activity:

As the third Panem book comes, look who is behind the leaves? Find out: The more visitors visit the site, the faster you can see its title and cover!

The website also plays a fantastic book trailer for The Hunger Games with actual people and scenes from inside the arena.

Check it out here!

You guys obviously remember the Russian Hunger Games cover, where we see actual models for Katniss, and who we’ve assumed to be Peeta?

Now we have a beautiful Catching Fire cover in similar fashion. Check it out here.

In addition to this, there’s a new Hunger Games cover from Russia again. This one uses real models as well, but to a more Games effect.

It’s all assumption in the fandom that the boy behind Katniss is Gale, and I assume it to be true since on the previous Hunger Games cover, we’ve seen Peeta.

On Thursday, August 26th, Suzanne Collins will be at the Scholastic Store in New York City.

The appearance timingĀ  is 11 AM. Suzanne will be reading from Mockingjay the upcoming final installment in The Hunger Games.

A very different tactic for Mockingjay promotion is that instead of signing copies, Suzanne will be personally stamping copies with a special “Mockingjay Fall 2010 tour” stamp. These stamps are only for those who purchase the book at the store, and also has a limit of one stamp per customer.

Thanks to the Sara at the HG Examiner for the heads up!

More details could be found at the Official Facebook Page!

And now as the movie moves forwards, here’s some more news! The screenplay of ‘Hunger Games’ is now in the editing stages. The noted Billy ray is polishing the screenplay originally written by the books’ writer Suzanne Collins herself.

Ray has a number of action movies under his belt, including “Flightplan” and “State of Play” (as well as “Breach” and “Shattered Glass,” both of which also saw him sitting behind the camera). But perhaps most notable is that the writer-director has been chosen as the man to adapt “24″ for the big screen. (His pitch, which has Jack Bauer running around Europe, Jason Bourne-style, was favored by Fox executives.) There’s probably not a lot of overlap between the globetrotting battle to fight violent terrorists and fighting to survive in the futuristic nation of Panem, though, now that we think of it, there are looser comparisons out there. (It’s also worth noting that “Hunger Games” comes from Scholastic, the same publisher as the Harry Potter franchise.)

Fans have been wondering who’ll pay the young heroine in “Hunger Games” — Chloe Moretz, Dakota Fanning and Saoirse Ronan are among the fan favorites, as far as we can tell — but first the project needs to find a director. That could happen soon; Ray’s script is about to come into producers, if it hasn’t quietly been slipped to them already. And with that will commence the next step in the battle to create the next “Twilight,” a competition as fierce as anything in “Hunger Games” itself.
